Ed Sheeran has been pretty tight lipped about the additional guest stars who will be appearing on his upcoming album No. 6 Collaborations Project following the releases of "I Donât Care" with Justin Bieber and "Cross Meâ alongside Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock.
But in a new interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Ed let one more collaboration slip with Bruno Mars and revealed how the whole project was inspired by a 2001 hit by Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim and Mya.
"Do you remember âLady Marmaladeâ? That inspired an idea of getting Bruno, Bieber and myself on a record. The first person I rang was Bruno and he said âLetâs do a song together, just us.â And thatâs how it happened," he explained. "I did a song with Bruno, then a song with Bieber and these individual songs started happening and it just turned into a project.â
No. 6 Collaborations Project arrives July 12th.
