Ryan Seacrest shared on-air that apparently every hack you’ve heard about finding the perfect watermelon has been wrong. The official Watermelon Growers’ Association says the foolproof way to find one perfectly ripe is to find one with a buttery yellow ground spot.
Every melon has a ground spot. It’s where the watermelon lay while ripening in the sun.
You want one that is not too light, not too white, not too bright.
