Jake Gyllenhaal Takes Us Inside Guy Ritchie's Daily On-Set BBQs

Jake Gyllenhaal completely transforms himself for his roles, but the actor shared with Ryan Seacrest filming for his latest film The Covenant wasn't as grueling as it seems.

Gyllenhaal stars as Sgt. John Kinley, a U.S. Army veteran who returns to Afghanistan to rescue his former interpreter from the Taliban, after the Afghani had previously saved his life. Gyllenhaal previously revealed he was motivated to take the role in the fictional tale because of his longtime friend and Marine Zachary Iscol's own amazing true story.

Gyllenhaal shared despite the plot, it was actually a "blast" filming the flick, thanks to a major grill master.

"Guy Ritchie, who directed the movie, he barbecues every day," Jake shared, revealing he has a barbecue on set and he'd "cook throughout the day."

"So it wasn't really that tough," Jake added, sharing they'd have everything from coffee to dinner at the BBQ while going through the script.
